Trade News
Munich, 2 July 2013 – Linde will be showcasing a broad lineup of one-stop solutions enabled by industrial gases at this year's SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN international trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing. Inspired by the company's motto "Welding the World. Together.", the Linde stand in hall 5.0, booth C115 will be covering the full spectrum from supply options through to specialised applications.
As an international, full-line supplier of innovative technologies around welding, cutting and heating, Linde covers the entire spectrum of welding processes, combining its innovative capabilities with indepth process know-how to the benefit of its customers. This year, Linde will be supporting two events that run in parallel to SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN: the Annual Assembly and international conference of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and the "Young Welders" competition held by DVS (German welding society). Highlights on show at this year's stand include an extensive product portfolio and the latest innovations for both small and large customers.
New, practical cylinder
Customers will be able to explore the benefits of GENIE®, Linde's new mobile gas cylinder, for the first time in Germany at this year's SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN. GENIE® is a steel-lined pressure vessel wrapped in carbon fibre with a tough, all-weather, recyclable high density polyethylene (HDPE) jacket. This makes GENIE® significantly lighter than standard steel models, positioning it as the solution of choice for assembly, repair and maintenance work in industrial workshop or outdoor settings.
This 300-bar (nominal pressure) package was developed specifically to answer customer demands for improved portability, easier handling and increased capacity. It comes equipped with a host of ergonomically designed features for simplified handling. These include easy-grip handles, an attachable wheelbase for ease of transport and a broad, extra-stable base that reduces risk of the cylinder toppling over. In addition, GENIE® features a digital intelligence unit which indicates gas levels at a glance. The shielding gas mode allows the user to see how many welding minutes are left based on the flow rate. So the welder can quickly judge whether the cylinder has enough gas to finish the job at hand.
Rounding off its process gas portfolio
Linde's LASGON® series is an attractive alternative to pure helium for laser welding. Not only do these innovative laser gas mixtures conserve valuable helium reserves, they have the added advantage of adaptability. Bespoke mixtures are available for the most varied of welding tasks and materials, guaranteeing optimum working conditions for laser welding processes. Now, Linde has again expanded its proven LASGON® family to include dedicated mixtures for all material categories, including laser welding of non-alloyed and low-alloy materials, stainless CrNi steels, aluminium and aluminium alloys. Linde complements its LASGON® gases with a range of high-performance LASERLINE® supply solutions for security of supply.
Maximising productivity through dedicated mixtures
Arc welding materials and equipment are growing in complexity, making the choice of welding gas an increasingly important success factor. Linde's CRONIGON®, CORGON® and VARIGON® welding gas series offer the perfect mixture for every job, improving arc welding performance and optimising application-specific results.
LINDOFLAMM™ acetylene burners
The LINDOFLAMM™ range of special acetylene burners provides tailored solutions to all flame straightening, preheating, postheating, hot forming and flame hardening process challenges. This portfolio is now available in many countries, underpinned by Linde's extensive acetylene delivery capabilities and commitment to the highest safety standards. To coincide with SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, Linde's new LINDOFLAMM™ catalogue presents the latest nozzle and burner innovations in the series.
